WHAT IS RYLA?RYLA stands for Rotary Youth Leadership Award. The conferees partake in many activities that they may not have ever done before. The conferees step out of their comfort zone and try to make new friends in the process. This year, the RYLA conference is at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, NY.

WHY RYLA?
RYLA is an opportunity like no other! RYLA is a 5 day conference where conferees from all different schools in District 7210 participate in many tasks that will help them in all of the aspects of their life moving forward. During RYLA, conferees have the chance to make many friends from all different schools! The individual memories that the conferees experience will stay with them, even after the wonderful experience has ended.
RYLA OVERVIEW
The Rotary Youth Leadership Award, also known as RYLA is a conference available nationally that allows attendees to perfect their leadership skills while making friends and having fun. Students apply for a sponsorship through their local rotary club to attend. Conferees work in groups to accomplish tasks, practice cooperative skills, and make new friendships. After group work, attendees participate in fun activities such as free time, RYLA games, square dancing, and fun events such as the talent show and the dance. Overall, RYLA is a memorable experience with opportunities to learn new skills for the real world moving forward, as well as promoting a healthy and happy lifestyle.
